Peak District Wedding Venue near Chesterfield

The Peak Edge Hotel sits at Stone Edge, just outside Chesterfield, right on the edge of the Peak District. Big skies, open countryside and a venue that works just as well for a garden ceremony as it does for a cosy winter wedding.

The Perfect Surrounding

You can get married outside in the garden pagoda, with the countryside behind you, or inside in the Oak Room with its skylights and crystal chandeliers. The Oak Room holds up to 200 guests, and the smaller Walton Suite, with its exposed beams and chandeliers, holds up to 80. Ceremonies are for up to 150 guests, with up to 200 in the evening, and there are 27 bedrooms for you and your guests.

I’ve photographed weddings at Peak Edge and it’s a brilliant venue for photos. The pagoda and its aisle look great from every angle, the little bridge over the lake is perfect for couple portraits, and when the sky puts on a show up there it really puts on a show. After dark, the lit arbour and the grounds make a lovely setting for a twilight shoot, and even a rainy night can give you something special.

I’m Tim, a wedding photographer based near Barnsley with over 25 years’ experience. I keep things relaxed and natural, get the family photos done quickly, and make sure you get time to enjoy your day. If you’re getting married at the Peak Edge Hotel, get in touch to check my availability.
