Cannon Hall Wedding Photographer

Barnsley Country House Wedding Venue
Cannon Hall is a beautiful country house near Cawthorne, just outside Barnsley, set in 18th-century parkland with lakes and a walled garden.
The Perfect Surrounding
The house was home to the Spencer-Stanhope family, and was extended in the 1760s by the architect John Carr of York. Today it’s a museum run by Barnsley Museums. You can get married in the Deer Shelter out in the parkland, the Jacobean-inspired Ballroom or a tipi, and the Walled Garden is lovely for drinks.
With the parkland, lakes and Walled Garden, there’s no shortage of places for couple portraits and relaxed family photos, and the house itself makes a great backdrop for a big group shot.
I’m Tim, and I live in Shafton, just the other side of Barnsley. I’ve been photographing weddings across South Yorkshire for over 25 years, with a relaxed, natural style and a twilight shoot included. If you’re getting married at Cannon Hall, get in touch to check my availability.
